Ddrum proudly welcomes punk legend, DJ Bonebrake to the ddrum family!




DJ has been the drummer for quintessential LA punk band X, since 1977.  In addition to X, DJ is the drummer for trad country LA super group The Knitters, featuring members of X, the Blasters, the Flesh Eaters, and the Red Devils and has recorded with Peter Case, Michael Penn, and countless others.  DJ is the first artist to play the Paladin Maple and will be using the Inca Gold sparkle on tour  this May, playing shows supporting Los Lobos, and this summer supporting Pearl Jam on the European leg of their 2012 tour.  DJ has a new "special recipe" Paladin kit in the works!

About Marko Djordjevic

Called a “world class drummer” and “a true innovator” by Modern Drummer magazine, Marko Djordjevic has
played on more than 40 albums and has thousands of live performances to his credit.

Some of the artists Djordjevic has performed and recorded with include: Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Jonah Smith, Clarence Spady, Lucky Peterson, Jacques Schwartz-Bart, Garry Willis, Hal Crook, Bill Frisell, Lionel Loueke, Aaron Goldberg, The Itals, Chris McDermott, and Eric Lewis.
Djordjevic graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music, where he was accepted on a scholarship at the tender age of 16. One of the finest musicians of our era, Blue Note recording artist Lionel Loueke says: “Marko is one of the greatest drummers out there. He possesses incredible technique, and a musical mind to match it! I love playing with him because he is so creative and unique!”
For more than ten years SVETI has been the creative outlet for Djordjevic. As the composer for SVETI, he writes music inspired by the rich musical tradition of his Balkan roots, but with a nod to the “Western” artists who have influenced him; from Coltrane and Weather Report to Zappa and the Police.

Adele wins big at the Grammys!

Anyone with a sharp eye, couldn't help but notice the relentless and tasteful groove as Adele performed her hit, "Rolling In The Deep" at last nights 54th Annual Grammy Awards.  Manning the kit was her Musical Director, and DDRUM artist Derrick Wright.  Derrick was playing the Reflex Uptown prototype kit.  This is our natural alder drum set that has been making waves since its introduction at NAMM.  Congratulations to Derrick and of course, Adele For anyone that missed the show, here is a clip of her performance:
